Genre painter, William Hepburn was born in Edinburgh, Scotland and studied at the Royal Scottish Academy. He emigrated to America in 1847. He worked in Brooklyn, New York from 1861 to his death in 1891 and was a member of the Brooklyn Art Association. He exhibited with the National Academy of Design. |
