The William Secord Gallery is pleased to present our annual exhibition of nineteenth century dog paintings.

Timed to coincide with the 147th Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, this exhibition and sale includes paintings depicting Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Clumber Spaniels, Foxhounds, French Hounds, Jack Russell Terriers, English and Gordon Setters among others.

Included are paintings by Charles Olivier de Penne (French, 1831-1897), George Earl (English, 1824-1908), Maud Earl (English, 1864-1943), John Emms (English, 1843 - 1912), Jean-Léon Gérôme (French, 1824-1904), James Hardy (English, 1832-1889), Walter Hunt (English, 1861-1941), Harold Septimus Power (Australian, 1877-1951), Phillip Eustace Stretton (English, fl. 1884-1919) and Arthur Wardle (English, 1864-1949).

This exhibition and sale will continue through May 31, 2023.
