Painter of dead game, animals and portraits, Taylor exhibited forty-eight paintings at the Royal Academy, as well as, at British Institute and Suffolk Street between 1817 - 1847. Titles at the Royal Academy including ‘The Tiger Cat Pouncing upon an Indian Pheasant’, 1828, ‘Mandarin, a Chinese Drake; Painted at the Zoological Gardens’.
