A painter of flowers, fruit and animals, Sophie was the wife of Jules Pr, also an animal painter. She was a student of J. Portaels in Brussels, she began by working in still life , and eventually came to specialize in genre scenes and portraits of dogs. Pir exhibited extensively, including in Brussels, Amsterdam and Ghent. |
