Born in Glasgow, Scotland, Fulton was a prolific animal painter specializing in dogs and had a long working life exhibiting between 1890-1940. His work is characterized by broad, flat brush-strokes, with some of his work having a very sketchy quality. Fulton exhibited 117 paintings at the Glasgow Institute of Fine Arts, 10 paintings at the Royal Scottish Academy and 3 paintings at the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in watercolors. His painting, "Fox Hounds" is in the Glasgow Art Gallery. |
