Original works of art

Born in Paris, Delabrierre was an important member of the animalier school. He exhibited at the Salon from 1845-82. Most of his works were comparatively small models, often incorporating figures. The facade of the Louvre incorporates one of his largest groups, L'Equitation', in 1857.
