Original works of art

Bache was predominantly a painter of landscapes, portraits, and animals. He was a student of W. Marstrand at the Copenhagen Academy of Art at the precocious age of ten, later studying in France and Italy. He became a member of the Copenhagen Academy of art in 1872, becoming its director in 1905.
