(American, Contemporary )

Kathy Jacobsen is a folk artist, author and illustrator of books whose works are in the collections of The Museum of American Folk Art in New York City and the Smithsonian. She is from the mid-west, but now lives in Connecticut. She does not specialize in dogs, but paints highly detailed and brightly colored landscapes. Originally represented by the late Jay Johnson’s America’s Folk Heritage Gallery, she is continues to exhibit in New York City.
