John Murray Thomson was a painter of animal and birds who studied at the Royal Scottish Academy schools. He gained the Carnegie Travelling Scholarship and studied in Paris. He was the president of the SSA and exhibited extensively at the Royal Glasgow Institute of Fine Arts and the Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool. |
