John Henry Frederick Bacon
(English, 1866 -1914 )

Bacon was a London domestic and genre painter who also did portraits. He exhibited at the At Royal Academy from 1889, with mostly romantic titles such as - "A Confession of Love', etc. He sometimes signed his work, J. H. F. B. His best known work is ‘The City of London Imperial Volunteers Return to London from South Africa on Monday 29 October 1900" in the Guildhall, London. His studio sale was held at Christie's 27 April 1914. ‘The Coronation of King George V and Queen Mary, 1911' is in Buckingham Palace.
