Verheyden, son of the painter, Francois Verheyden, was a painter of still lives, portraits and landscapes, and occasionally dogs. Born in Antwerp, his work settled in Brussels in 1883. In 1885, he became a member of “Les XX”. He taught at the Brussels Academy from 1900 up until his death in 1905.
