Harry Hall was a predominantly a painter of horses. Born in Cambridge he eventually
moved, like so many other horse painters, to Newmarket. Hall was the major racehorse
portraitist of his time, and he exhibited extensively. Many of his horse portraits
ere engraved, and “The Sporting Magazine” published 114 of his works. |
