Fannie Moody (Mrs. Gilbert King) is an animal painter who specialized in dogs. Fannie Moody is known for her soulful depictions of terriers... The daughter of the British genre and animal painter, Francis Wollaston Moody, she studied with John Trivett Nettleship (1793-1881), who was known for landscapes and marine paintings.

Moody exhibited extensively, including at the Royal Academy in London between 1888 and 1897, and The Society of British Artists in Suffolk Street, London (founded in 1824) and elsewhere. A member of The Society of Women Artists, she was known for rather whimsical scenes of animal behavior, exhibiting "Professional Jealousy," and "A Question of Privilege" at The Royal Academy.
