Original works of art

Edmond Van Der Meulen
(Belgian, 1841 -1905 )

Van der Meulen was a pupil of E. Duyck, and after starting as an amateur, eventually devoted himself to painting. He specialised in dogs, and his work is reminiscent of Joseph E. Stevens, with the paint built up in thick impastos. His work is represented in museums in Bruges, Brussels, Courtrai, Ghent, Louvain, Mons and Tournai.
