Dean Wolstenholme Sr. |
(English, 1757 -1837 ) |
Wolstenholme, like Marshall, was born to the sporting life and evidently began painting as a hobby. He became a professional artist, however, and specialized in the depiction of sporting scenes, especially fox hunting. He first exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1803, and completed a number of both horse and dog portraits. |
