Clarys, who was born in Brussels, was well known for his paintings of horses and dogs. He studied at the Brussels Academy and with E. Blanc-Garin. He produced works that were used for posters for horse shows and races, and exhibited regularly in the Antwerp, Brussels and Ghent Salons between 1888 and 1914. |
